This we know: Producing primary aluminum is energy-intensive, recycling aluminum is not energy-intensive, and aluminum is infinitely recyclable. So why are we sending away more than twice our annual primary aluminum output in scrap metal instead of keeping and recycling it here at home – and creating jobs in the process? Good question, especially because there is a business opportunity. We have work to do.
